Creativity Under the Microscope

“Let go of who you are supposed to be and embrace who you are.”

~ Brene Brown

Creativity is using your skills and talents to do things differently.  There is a definite process that generates creativity.  Anybody can learn it and if you make it a habit for you, you can use the creativity that is inside you for whatever purpose you choose.

Courage is needed to take the first step since we have no way of knowing whether our actions will lead to successful outcomes, or where we may end up as result.  But it’s only when we abandon our need to know and control absolutely everything that wondrous things start to happen.   Dreams come from a future dimension and those who have a clear picture of how that dream will look, sound and feel are catching a little glimpse of the future.

Dave Davies, co-founder of the sixties band The Kinks, wanted a different sound so he punched a hole in his amplifier and created a sound that became so recognisable.  What if he hadn’t done that?  Well, I for one believe that the world would have missed out on a lot of brilliant music.

All we have to do is recognise and accept that we can be creative and then and give ourselves permission to create.
